| Artist analyze people’s obsession with material world’s objects collecting, archiving and exhibiting. This obsession to collect art books, newspapers, vinyl records, old photos or radio also is a story about modern consumer society wish to build increasingly impressive cultural layer of objects around themselves to exhibit them into museums and private collections. It is individual’s obsession and enthusiasm witch retain cultural achievements in different fields. Of course process is "warmed up" by world's auction houses well-advertised and sensational sold paintings, Hollywood diva dresses or very old and rare wine. On May latest exhibition with success was exhibited on prestigious 7th International Contemporary Art Fair VIENNAFAIR 2011 at Vienna. Although we know Ieva Iltnere as a brilliant master of figural painting in this exhibition artist refuses from direct human characters presence and allow objects talk about individuals inner world and passion. Ieva Iltnere: «Sometimes these collections are like diaries of memories, sometimes like gone technology evidence of lost time. The story about object’s nature and inevitable flow of time...» Ieva Iltnere is one of the most outstanding and creative artists of her generation. She participates in exhibitions since 1978. Iltnere has created her system of images with a familiar and particularly original style. The artist’s formal stylistics is influenced by the painterly halftones based ascetic color scale, characterized by subdued coloring and discrete intonation.
